Marrakech Part 1
As you probably already know from our snapchat & instagram posts, we recently went abroad to Marrakech, on a girls holiday for our cousins hen party ♥
It was a nice weekend getaway and we managed to get so much done every single day, with barely any sleep!
We've split the post in to 3 parts - so make sure to come back and check out the rest of our trip :)

Birthday OOTD x Novikov
Me and Chads both love trying out new restaurants, so for my 20th birthday we got dolled up and headed over to the Novikov Resturaunt & Bar based in London.
Heres our OOTN ♥
Ishy
Jumpsuit: River Island// Heels: New Look// Bag: Ted Baker
Chads
Textured Leather Dress: Zara// Tights: Primark
Bag: Primark// Boots: Missguided
If you know us or follow us on instagram @ishyxchads you will have noticed we are both major foodies, and love to try out different cuisines.
We picked Novikov which is a 2 minute walk from Green Park station. From reviews and pictures, this restaurant seemed like the perfect place to try new dishes.
If you are planning to visit Novikov I should point out there are two options of cuisines
We reserved a table in the Asian room because it looked more appealing to us as the menu offers more halal options including beef, chicken and duck.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere for most occasions and even casual dining.
Most importantly the waiters are friendly and attentive.
Take a look at some of our pictures and reviews on what we tried ♥
On Arrival
We were greeted with this pot of fresh vegetables and humous, whilst we picked our starters.
This is a good idea to welcome guests/customers, as many restaurants don't do this.
Drinks:
We were recommended these drinks by our waiter and they were both so good. The drink on the left was made from fresh strawberry lemonade and the drink on the right from elderflower juice (my fave), peach, lemon and 18K gold flakes ♥
Starters:
Dim Sum
Crispy Shitake mushroom dumplings - these had a really nice nutty, crunchy and spicy flavour. It was also a nice alternative to the usual prawn dumplings that we've had.
Maki Sushi
Prawn Tempura & Avocado! We have a slight obsession with avocado's...so combine that with a spicy prawn sushi = ♥
This was possibly the best dish of the night. If you don't like raw fish but wish to try sushi - we would definitely recommend trying this dish or the spicy tuna roll.
Main Meal:
We both ordered Chilli Ginger Garlic Spicy Beef Fillet (180g) (cooked to a nice medium to well-done) as we both love steak. Although the portion looks small in the pictures, it honestly was more than filling! This is because the beef fillet were already cut up for us into smaller pieces, with the fat trimmed off also. The beef was so full of flavour and the spicy sauce it came with complimented it well.
Grilled Wok Aubergine with Dashi Sauce - we weren't too fond of this dish to be honest. It wasn't bad, just a bit bland.
Grilled Asparagus With Sweet Soy, Sesame - this was a lovely side dish to have with our beef fillet.
Dessert:
Never one to say no to dessert, we ordered the Milk Chocolate Fondant - With Hazelnut Praline
& Vanilla Ice Cream to share (we were really stuffed by this point).
The chocolate cake was soft and filled with a chocolate sauce with crunch pieces of finely chopped hazelnut - which oozed out of the cake as we cut it. The rich chocolate sauce was balanced perfectly by the vanilla ice cream.
Novikov is probably one of the best Pan-Asian restaurants we have been to and although it is on the pricier side, it's such a lovely place to go for a special occasion. The asian menu has so many Halal options, the service was very good and the decor of the restaurant is just amazing.

Afternoon Tea & OOTD's
Afternoon Tea at Sofitel's Rose Lounge
During the Christmas break, we had our cousin from New York over and we thought it would be nice to take her out to her first British afternoon tea experience. We looked online for a few a places and came across the cutest room: The Rose Lounge at Sofitel St James. We just fell in love with the feminine décor, pink colour scheme, chandeliers and roses.
The lounge is only a 5 minute walk away from Piccadilly Circus St.
On arrival, we were taken to our seats and given a menu to choose our teas from, we chose a few different ones between us, but our favourite was definitely the pink 'Nuit d’Eté' - made from a blend of hibiscus flowers, apple, rose hip, raspberry, strawberry & cream ♥.
Our waiter then brought us a selection of sandwiches, savouries and fresh warm scones with strawberry jam, clotted cream and lemon curd.
We ended our afternoon with French pastries and dessert. The Raspberry macaroons were just so delicious.
Our Outfits:

How to style: Knee High Boots - Chads
The knee-high boots (and thigh-high boots) are one of this seasons must-have items and have been highly showcased in many of this years Autumn/Winter collections by designers such as Gucci, Tom Ford and Givenchy.

I personally really wanted a suede pair - but didn't want to splurge on a pair of boots which I won't be able to wear too often with London's infamous rainy days throughout the year..
So after a bit of searching, I finally found the pair I wanted:
I purchased these from Missguided (click here) - RRP £40 - But Missguided are always doing great discount offers so I got them for only £30 (wooh!)
A pair of knee/thigh-high boots are so worth buying as they can be styled in so many ways - casually for day time or dressed up for an evening out. It can also be easily incorporated into your Spring wardrobe, especially if you live in colder countries such as England.
Here are a few ways that I would style them:
1: The Midi/Jumper Dress
A jumper dress like this is so useful to have in your wardrobe as a transitional piece between seasons.
This really is such a simple outfit but still looks like I made an effort. The dress & boots really compliment each other well and totally gives off Kim K vibes <3
2: The Leather Pants:
Here I paired the suede boots with a pair of leather pants. I am not really a big wearer of prints, so I like to spice my outfits by playing with different textures. Here, the contrast between both textures and colours really bring together the outfit.
The front wrap top was purchased from Missguided and the leather pants from Topshop.
3: The A Line Skirt
This is probably my favourite look out of the 3; it's just such a cute and preppy outfit.
Pairing your boots with an A-line skirt is a great way to achieve a clean and sophisticated statement.
I purchased this skirt from Boohoo, I don't think they sell it any more but you can buy a similar skirt from Asos here or here, and pair it with a fitted top or polo neck to balance the look.
How would you style the knee-high boots and what was your favourite look?
Let me know :)
